Easter weekend!

All the Toone cousins were together for Easter this year at Grandma and Grampa's except our sweet little Lorilie. ( we miss you ) They did coloring eggs first and then they had an easter egg hunt. It was so fun to watch Braylie actually understand the concept of the hunt and get excited when she saw another egg. :D She is so sweet. I have video of her finding them but for some reason I can't upload them right now so I'll have to do that some other time. So cute though. So here is an overload of picuters. (in the egg dying ones she has a big nasty t-shirt on to prevent getting anything on her clothes. So just ignore that :) )

I think it's funny that I'm in almost every picture with her, but all you see is my overly huge belly. Enjoy I guess haha. I forgot to take a picture that weekend of just the belly so these will have to somehow substitute. 36 weeks prego. :)

Prob the best one of the 3 of us other then my massive glob of hair falling right as the picture was taken. Yuck.

Mommy Moments

Ok... so today was a rough day. Blame it on a bad mood or waking up on the wrong side of the bed or whatever you want. Me... I'm choosing the - I'm practically 9 months pregnant with little energy/sore body and a grumpy toddler going through a bad day of terrible two's who also decided not to nap today - route.

We made it though. Braylie is in bed, I got the kitchen cleaned up from dinner (still need to start the dishwasher, but everything is off the counters and food is put away) and I got my much needed bath! We survived! Let's hope tomorrow is a better day!

In spite of it all though, some funny things did happen today that lightened the day up a bit. I don't want to forget them so I thought I'd share. :)

This wasn't today but I need to write it down anyway. So last week Braylie started using her toddler bed. Mostly she lays down and goes to sleep within a couple min of me shutting the door. But every now and then she will just sit and play for quite a while before giving into her pillow. The other night she woke up at like 11:30 and I was getting out of the bath so Payden went and got her and brought her into our room for me. When he brought her in she had her shoes on... I took a second to understand what was going on and asked Payden if had put her shoes on her. Of course he said no, so that means that Braylie must have been playing before falling asleep and eventually went to sleep with her shoes on. haha what a funny girl. She LOVES shoes! In fact, today she threw a fit everytime I took her shoes off of her and would run to her room and put them back on. lol : )

The funniest thing that happend today though was once again... while she was supposed to be sleeping. I had put her down for a nap and hadn't heard much noise for a while so I figured it was safe to hop in the shower. When I got out of the shower I heard the monitor in our room going off and Braylie was whinning and moaning and calling for Mom on and off. So I go in there after I dry off and I can't find her.... It took me a second but then I realize that she is kneeling up on all fours underneath her blinds on the window seal pressed up against the window. When I walk in she started calling for help. "elp, elp" haha I died. I was laughing at her and at the same time I'm frustrated because she is supposed to be sleeping and I'm also wondering what in the heck is she doing up there and also feeling so bad for her and wondering how long she has been stuck like that!?! Her face was warm from the sun coming in the window and she seemed scared to get down although her bed is right there and all she had to do was put her foot onto her bed off of the window seal and she would have been fine. lol The things children do. A frustrating day with a toddler but this moment made it a little lighter. :)

A couple small things to remember about today:
Braylie and I danced in the living room to Taylor Swift and twirled and twirled until we were dizzy. We threw our heads back and spun and she just laughed and laughed. I couldn't take the stress with her anymore and needed some music to make me happy. It was just what we BOTH needed on a tough day!

After Braylie's bath before bed I was lying on the floor in her room while she was playing cause my legs were really sore from standing on them while cooking dinner, and she comes up to me and gives me her baby. She brought me all of her "night night's" (blankets) and covered me up with them. After she put the last blanket on me she kissed the top blanket and said night night and then laid her head down by me. A couple minutes alter after she got up she came over to me and sat real close and started stroking my face and then gave we a sweet kiss.

What a nice way to end a frustrating day. I love my little girl so much even though some days seem to be so hard raising such an active toddler. She is my world and not even the worst day could ruin a moment like this. We mommy's have a tough job. But once these kind of moments come along, it's all worth it and you forget home frustrated you might have been with them earlier. You just want to grab them in your arms and snuggle until they won't let you hold them anymore. <3

Toddler Bed!

Braylie's new toddler bed and mattress came in today! I was so excited to get it home and put it together so she could try it out and we could get started on the process of switching her from her crib to a bed. After about 2 hours of Payden and I (I sat and helped here and there... moral support right?) putting the bed together... it was finally done!! Braylie was SOOO excited!! She was laughing laughing laughing and kept throwing her head back saying night night night night... haha. As soon as we got her sheets on and stuff she hopped up there and was just jumping and kept falling onto her pillow laughing face first. She was in HEAVEN!! It was so cute to see her enjoy it so much!

After having a bath and some play time, it was time for her to go to bed. I debated not trying to make her sleep in it until nap time tomorrow but there is no time like the present! I tried laying with her at first and it went well.. until her sippy cup was all out of milk. haha Then she was getting up and putting her baby on the window seal and laughing and acting not tired at all. Although I knew she really was. She started throwing a fit cause I was trying to lay her down and so I left the room to see what she would do without me and shut the door tight behind me when I left. She started bawling and banging on the door and crying out mama mama... So I went back in there and she hopped back into bed. She started asking for her sippy so I got her a tiny bit of milk and left her in there by herself to see how she would do. (this is what I would normally do when she is in her crib) Turns out she got up after it was gone and was whinning and moaning. She would go quiet for a little bit and then start whinnig again. Eventually I went in there and she was playing with her hats. haha I climbed into bed with her and didn't let her get up again. She got really frustrated and started crying to the point she couldn't breathe she was so worked up... I seriously almost started crying myself I felt so bad for her. But she needed to learn so I stayed persistent with her. She snuggled up to me for comfort and ending up fallin asleep to me singing to her and scratching her back. But because we were so snuggled when she feel asleep, when I got up to leave she kinda woke up but was still laying still and quiet so I left anyway hoping she would just close her eyes and drift off again. As soon as I left she started crying and when I went right back in there she was climbing out of bed to come get me. I put her back in bed and tried to just sit next to the bed and sing while playing with her hair but that only lasted a minute. So I decided to rock her to sleep and then lay her down once she fell asleep. After a little persistence once again, she fell asleep. I could tell she was really out this time. I layed her down, tucked her in and walked away and it's been quiet coming from her room ever since!!! So she is now sleeping in her bed for the first night and not in her crib and it "only" took an hour and a half, a sippy and a half of milk and trying half a dozen diefferent ways to put her to sleep! Ahhh... haha the joys of trying to transition your child into a new way of doing things and helping them form new habbits. We'll see how the night goes. I'm tempted to tell myself to just lay her down in her crib if she wakes up in the middle of the night and tackle the battle again durin gnap time tomorrow. We'll see what kind of energy and determination I can muster up if that happens!

Mommy is so proud of you Braylie for making your first step into a toddler bed!! I can't believe how much you are growing up!! You looked so big as I walked away from that bed tonight and glanced back to see you sleeping soundly in a big bed all alone. Daddy and I love you more then words can say! <3 <3 Sweet dreams *

Maternity/Family pictures

Here are a couple pictures the phtogorapher posted to hold us over until we get all the pics back. :) I did maternity pictures with Braylie and wanted to keep the tradition and do some with this pregnancy too and it was time for us to have some family pictures done so we had a friend of ours in the ward who takes awesome pictures do them for us. She did an amazing job and we are so pleased with what we have seen so far!! :)
And yes I know, we are going to have to take family pictures again here in a couple months but honestly... who needs a good excuse to get pictures taken often?! I love getting our family pictures done and having new creative pictures! :) I can't wait to do it again and we'll have newborn pictures to do too!! :) <3

32 weeks

Belated update!

Today was a really good day! Payden has been home the last couple of days and it has been SOOO STINKIN NICE! I love having him around so much! And it is really nice to see him so laid back and being able to enjoy things more since he hasn't had school or work this week. It's been really fun! So this morning I got up with Braylie at 9 (thank you so much little one for not being an early ealy riser like some kids can be! I'm sure it will come but for now, Mommy thanks you!!) and we made homemade waffles with a whipcream yogurt and strawberry topping for them. Then we showered and got ready and headed to walmart to get Braylie a "car car." We decided that with our tax return money we are going to pay off the car and some other bills that are close to being done too, along with buying things for the new baby, but we also gave ourselves an allowance for each of us to get a treat. :) Payden is going to get a new bike he can ride to school. I got a new diaper bag I've been coveting, (bad I know) and we wanted to get Braylie a fisher pirce cozy coupe. :) So today we went to the store and picked it up for her.

By the time we got home it was way past nap time so I layed Braylie down and put Payden to work building her car. :) When she woke up from her nap she was so excited!!! That's all she did the rest of the day was play in it! She would go get her purse and her "pretty" (one of my dish towels over her head) and say "bye" and wave to me and go in her car. Getting in and out and pushing it around. So cute!

(she has purple on her face because she has Thrush right now and the medicne stains her mouth. When I am putting it on her she will move her head and then she will get a streak across her face that is stained there for a day. So fun! haha not)

After that I made us lunch and then got dressed up to go to the temple while Payden watched Braylie. :) I had an amazing time at the temple as usual and got home just after Payden and Braylie did from a ride in her car all the way around this huge block by our house. WHAT A GOOD DADDY!! :) He does such fun things with her and always wants to make her happy. And another thing, HE IS SO PATIENT WITH HER!! Maybe it's because I am with her 24/7 that my patience isn't as good but I honestly think he has a gift to just let things go. I really admire that about him!
Anyway haha, we hung out for a bit and then went back to walmart to pick up our new baby swing that came in today! After walmart Payden took us out to a sandwhich place called Millhallows! :) I have been wanting a really good sandwhich lately. :) When we got home we put the swing together and watched sleeping beauty and then we put our little beuty to sleep. And now we are just relaxing together and enjoying the evening of a great day! :)

Sorry so long but I have really enjoyed today and just being with my little family and spending time together. It's so awesome to have people you love so much in your life day to day! <3 I'll move onto the important things though... haha here are some pictures. :)

It's been a couple weeks since I have posted at all and it's been a month since I have updated my pregnant belly pictures. Here are some of me at 34 weeks and a couple days. The shirts kinda tight (go figure haha) so you can't tell very well how much the belly has grown but it sure FEELS a lot bigger! I will be 35 weeks on Sunday and a week from this Tuesday, my doctor will start checking my cervix to see how dialated and thinned out I am. I will also be going to the the doc every week. With Braylie my doctor told me that he doesn't love to let woman go past their due date or even all the way to their due date because things just get harder on mom and baby. So I'm hoping and thinking that I only have about 4 weeks left!! :) SO CLOSE!!

Our swing came in today for the new little guy to use and all of the other future Toone babies! :) I am in love with it! We had a nice swing that Payden's brother gave us that we used for Braylie and were going to use for this baby too but I just got soo tired of having to change the batteries EVERY DAY (braylie lived in that thing if she wasn't in my arms) in it that I wanted to get one that plugged in. We also figured that we would eventually have to buy our own since the other had been through kids already and prob wouldn't last all 5 of our children to come so we mine as well spend the money now and get more use out of it rather then buying it later and only being able to use it for maybe a couple of the kids. So we gave the other swing to Payden's other brother who is expecting their first little munchkin! :) It will serve them well!!! :)
