We LOVE the food!

I'm so glad I married a man who loved to eat as much as I do. :) It's not good on our midsections... but we enjoy every minute of it!!

I made French bread so Payden could have hot sandwiches. It's something his mom does a lot and it's her french bread recipe. Here is one whole loaf loaded with the goods. And might I add that he is so particular about his cheese. He cannot eat any regular ham and cheese sandwich unless the cheese is melted. He really doesn't like biting into cold hard cheese.... I love it!

The beast on a pizza pan..He reminds me of the Carls Jr. commercial quite often when he eats.... "Don't bother me, I'm eating." (Carls Jr. is one of his fav fast food restaurants too)

It was really funny because he was so impatient for me to take these pictures. He said it was going to get cold and he was just so anxious to eat it. He was pretend throwing a little tantrum like a little child. haha :) He makes me laugh every single day of my life. I just love him so much and am so stoked about being stuck with him for an eternity!

Love you Mr.! <3

Not my little baby anymore...

Braylie makes my life so happy everyday and truly brings me the purest joy that I have experienced in my life with her sweet sweet spirit and all that love! But lately from time to time I she has made me sad. Not really and truly sad, but the just looking back at where the time went and feeling helpless kind of sad.

She is such a big girl now. She isn't my little baby anymore that would just lay in my arms and snuggle and sleep. She isn't that little baby that wouldn't move when I sat her down somewhere, or the little thing that would lie there and just laugh and smile but lay very still for me to change her diaper.

No, No. She is definitely a big girl. Here are 5 reasons she has become a big girl!:

1. She has two teeth! Crazy! She got her first one on Valentines Day and her second the next Sunday. I almost cried Valentine's day morning because I was so proud of her for getting her first tooth! Such weird things you get emotional over when you are a mom. Little babies don't have teeth! That's a big girl thing...

2. She has arms and legs that work! Braylie has become quite the little crawler. She won't stay anywhere I put her. If she's on the bed, she tries to crawl off... If I set her outside the bathroom on the carpet so mom can actually use the bathroom, she crawls into the bathroom on the linoleum. (I might be weird but I really don't enjoy her crawling into the bathroom or in the kitchen. The carpet is safest. I don't know what's wrong with me but even though I sweep and mop and keep it clean... it still feels like a dirty place to me. Not a place for sweet babies who can get sick easily and who love to find and pick up anything they run their hands over on the floor.) The old little baby Bralylie would just lay wherever I sat her down and if she needed me, she would cry to let me know. Now... she crawls to find me and talks to me about how hard she is working the whole time.

3. She is just so WIGGLIE! Whether it's at church or on the changing table... this big girl won't hold still!
She has a body that works and she knows how to use it now so by gall she is going to use it! The baby in her would wiggle, but not to the point I can't hold onto her anymore. Let me tell ya, rolling over in every direction and trying to sit up while I'm trying to change her bum isn't the easiest task in the world...

4. We had to lower her crib... She would poke her head and her eyes over the railing after her naps to see if I was coming to get her. She was starting to crawl and I knew it wouldn't be too long before she figured out how to pull herself all the way up. Now she is on the medium big girl level where she is for sure stuck in the crib. If I pull her up she can hold onto the rail and stand, but she hasn't gotten strong enough to do it herself yet, and the crib is now at a safe height so when she does build those muscles, she won't fall out on her head! :)

(This was before we lowered it.) She crawls in her sleep.... haha About 90% of the time when I go check on her, she has her head into one of the sides of the crib, and she is up on her knees with her adorable little bum up in the air. <3This was before we lowered the crib also. - I would lay her in there on her tummy and duck down so she couldn't see me. Being the smart little girl she is... she would pull down the bumper pad thing and find me! She loved it and Payden and I loved to sit there and do it over and over again to make her laugh! We got a really good laugh out of it too! ;)

Now she is a big girl standing so tall! She thinks it's pretty funny to be able to stand up and look at mom! :)

5. She has been doing this for a while but... she eats like a big girl too. Obviously at almost 8 months she still has to have milk and is still breastfeeding (which I love!) but she also eats baby food and some table food as well. She has no chance with her mother and father being who they are.... this girl loves food and she loves to eat!

I know I said I was sad about all of this, and all five of the points I sound sad too, but there really are a lot of pluses to her becoming a "big girl." I love to see how much she is learning and how she is just soaking everything in. It brings me so much joy to see her progress and and to have her grasp a new concept or do something she has never done before. She make me so proud of her everyday! I am so blessed to be her mommy!!!

Lately comes a little late....

So I haven't updated in forever but this is in a nutshell what's been going on.

Braylie learned how to turn around in her swing....

Luckily there is a strap to keep her actually IN the swing.

She thinks she is very funny...
We met up with my parents, Crystal and Mike and Dallon last weekend and went to Lava Hot Springs. This is in Pokey at Mama Inez mexican restaurant.

Eating pizza after swimming. Braylie is wearing the salad bowl :)

My wonderful parents at lunch after swimming!

Braylie ate her keys while we all ate pizza!

The two loves of my life at lunch! So sweet is a girl and her dad!

Grandma is feeding Braylie and Dallon once we got back to Payden's and my apartment in Rexburg.

So now for my sewing projects I have done since Christmas...

I just hemmed the bottom of these cause they were two different lengths.

My mother-in-law gave me these but the sides needed hemmed so I did that. :) I love them! I also love my wonderful husband who put up the rod for me and gave me my beautiful lamp for Christmas. Thanks Mr.!

Braylie's tag blanket I made her.

Here is the other side. I love the green ruffles in the center!

The back of Braylies dress I made for her. (sorry so wrinkly... I picked it up off the ground to take a pic. I know awful... it's been there since Sunday when she wore it.)

The front of the dress (there is a bow on the front but you can hardle see it in this pic.)

The blanket I made Payden for Valentines!

love .. Love .. LOVE

Valentine's Day is coming up and I have been filled with love again... :)

I am completly in love with my husband Payden Lowell Toone. I can not even imagine my life without him. Payden is taking a religion class, building an eternal marriage, and in it he had to write 10 things that he loved about his spouse and briefly explain them. I loved his list! It was so thoughtful and sweet. So.... I decided to make one of my own. Here I go....

10 things I love about Payden:

1. He is a hard worker.
He does so much to support our little family and he always does it willingly without complaints. When he works he puts all of his efforts into it! I am so impressed with his attitude daily about work and school.

2. He loves to have fun.
Payden doesn't get embarrassed easily and is so willing to just go crazy and make himself look funny to make me laugh and to have a good time. I love his sense of humor. It takes a while to understand it, haha but once you do there is nothing like it. :)

3. He's helpful
He likes to cook a lot. Definitely a breakfast man. He is always making breakfast for me and for our families when we stay at their houses.

4. He is so thoughtful of others.
Payden is always thinking of others whether it be me or his wonderful family, he likes to do little acts of service for them to let them know how much he loves and appreciates them.

5. He has a powerful testimony.
He has taught me so much about the gospel and is a reminder of all the things I need to be doing daily. He also has such a gift of teaching the gospel. I love watching him, something happens and is soul lights up.

6. He is a wonderful Father.
I absolutely adore watching Braylie and her Dad play together and giggle. They have such a bond. I love seeing how protective and aware he is of her and the things she is doing.

7. He is unpredictable.
Payden loves to surprise people. You never quite know what he is going to say or do. It is so refreshing and exciting. It really brings a spark to my life!

8. He look at things differently.
Payden has such a unique outlook on life. It really opens my eyes to things that I might have never seen or experienced. Even things that I am very aware of, he brings them into new light and make me look at them in a new way, and help me better appreciate them.

9. Family is his number 1.
If you know Payden you know he is really easy to get along with and is so nice to everyone he meets, even strangers. But his family means the WORLD to him. If any one of them wants to get together or needs a favor or anything, Payden will drop what he is doing and he'll be there to lend a hand or support.

10. He has dreams.
Something I was really looking for in a spuse was someone who was determined and proactive in their future. Before Payden and I ever met, he knew what he wanted for a career, for a wife and for his future. I really appreciate and envy that about him. It has been so nice to have that stability in our life and to know where we are headed.

My New Hobby....

My sweet husband Payden got me a sewing machine for Christmas..... ( think there is a hidden motif there at all? I do.) So I have been trying to make use of this wonderful gift! My mom bought me a couple patterns and some fabric so I have started doing some actual sewing... crazy.
I made Braylie a church dress, a tag blanket and I want to make her some jammies soon. I also hemmed some curtains my mother-in-law gave me, and put those up in my house. Some girls in my ward and I get together every other week and sew and talk and just have fun. It has been a really fun thing to start doing. :)

My current project, I am making Payden a jean quilt with Utah Utes on it and the logo in the center. I have cut all the squares out and have cut the pieces for the back. Tonight I cut out and sewed the logo together and cut out all the letters for UTAH UTES. I hope hope hope I can finish it for Valentines Day.

P.S. Me and secrets about presents are no good. Especially with Payden. I always give more then I should and always talk about how excited I am to give him his gifts. NOT THIS HOLIDAY! I am making a valiant effort to KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT! Let me tell you how hard this has been! I just started Monday and I cannot even count on two hands how many times I have had to change directions in the middle of my sentence or have had to bite my lip. So far he has no idea that any of this is going on. I just rush and work on it while he is gone and hurry and put everything away before he is going to be home. (One of the first times I actually look forward to him leaving so I can get some work done on his quilt)

The girls I sew with looked at me crazy when I said I am going to finish this quilt by Valentines. Please someone out there give me some hope that it can be done and that I'll get it done!!!!

(I'll post pictures of all the things I've sewn next post. )
